This sweet basketball shirt celebrates former professional basketball player Allen Iverson, and in particular this t-shirt pays tribute to Iverson's 2001 NBA Most Valuable Player award. Iverson's MVP title and many of his other accolades were earned during his time playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was drafted by the Sixers in 1996 with the first overall pick, and Iverson left Georgetown University after only two years to pursue his NBA career. Iverson wound up being integral to revitalizing the Philadelphia team, who hadn't seen much success since the departure of Charles Barkley.

With an average of 23.5 points per game, Iverson was named NBA Rookie of the Year during his debut season, and from there he helped the Sixers to steadily improve their records. During the 2000 to 20001 season, not only did Iverson earn his NBA MVP title, but he also lead the Sixers to their first NBA Finals appearance in almost two decades. The team unfortunately lost to the LA Lakers, an impressive opponent thanks to the dual talents of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal, but Iverson's impact on the team was still solidified by this trip to the finals, and that made him an obvious choice for the MVP award. Clocking in at only 6 feet and 165 pounds, Iverson became the shortest and lightest player to ever receive the award.
