This amazing double-sided concert tee was from the iconic fundraising event Live Aid, which took place in 1985. This multi-venue benefit concert took place simultaneously in London at Wembley Stadium and Philadelphia at John F. Kennedy Stadium, and the event was staged to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia.
Live Aid's lineup featured many of the biggest musical acts of the time including Bryan Adams, the Beach Boys, Black Sabbath, The Cars, Eric Clapton, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Duran Duran, Bob Dylan, Adam Ant, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, the Four Tops, Hall & Oates, Mick Jagger, Judas Priest, Patti Labelle, Madonna, Led Zeppelin, Thompson Twins, Santana, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Kenny Loggins, Simple Minds, Pretenders, Run D.M.C., Elton John, The Who, U2, Dire Straits, and Sade. Phil Collins also had the unique honor of performing at both venues, a feat which he achieved thanks to two helicopters and a Concorde flight from London to New York City.
