This sweet shirt was made in the 80s for the Sea Turtle Rescue Fund. This fund was created by the Center for Environmental Education, after they noticed that the lights from Florida beach front properties were having a negative affect on the local sea turtle population. The lights were confusing newly hatched turtles, and making it difficult for the babies to safely find their way to the ocean. Thus the Sea Turtle Rescue Fund was launched to help spread awareness on the issue. This tee encourages you to "stick your neck out for a turtle".
