This sweet shirt celebrates the science fiction comedy Abbott and Costello Go to Mars, which starred the iconic comedy duo of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. The pair originated as vaudeville and burlesque performers, before extending their talents into film, radio, and television. Abbott and Costello Go to Mars, was released in 1953, and it was of the last few films that the duo made together before Costello's untimely death in 1959. Funnily enough, despite the movie's title none of the characters in it actually travel to the planet Mars.
