This sweet shirt was made by Nike in the 90s, and it features a collaboration between the popular sportswear brand and the Looney Tunes. The shirt also features NBA superstar Michael Jordon, in a graphic inspired by early concepts for the movie Space Jam. Development for Space Jam began in 1992 thanks to a pair of Nike Super Bowl ads that featured Jordan alongside Bugs Bunny. The success of the commercials proved to Warner Bros. that there was a market for a new Looney Tunes film, and it also showed the potential of pairing the classic cartoons with one of the biggest celebrity athletes of the 90s.

A movie featuring both Jordan and Bugs was green-lit, but the project got shelved after Jordan retired from basketball in 1993. Of course development resumed once Jordan returned to the NBA in 1995, and a year later Space Jam hit theaters and became the highest-grossing basketball movie ever made. The movie was praised for its combination of live action and animation, and along with Jordan it featured other notable NBA players like Muggsy Bogues, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, Shawn Bradley, and Charles Barkley.

In the movie, Jordan and the Looney Tunes are challenged to a game of basketball by a group of aliens, who dub themselves the Monstars. This tee depicts a similar scenario, although the aliens pictured here are referred to as "the Scream Team", and they match an image that was featured in a set of trading cards produced by Nike and Warner Bros. The cards were released in 1993, revealing that the plot to Space Jam was already roughly outlined years before the movie ever came to fruition.
