This awesome shirt is a souvenir from San Francisco Pride in 1996. San Francisco is home to one of the oldest Pride celebrations in the nation, dating all the way back to 1970, a year after the Stonewall Riots jump started the gay rights liberation movement. The celebration used to be known as Lesbian & Gay Freedom Day, before the name was changed to accommodate a wider range of LGBTQ identities, such as bisexual and transgender.

San Francisco Pride consists of a two-day festival stocked with vendors and entertainers, however the main event of the weekend is the parade down Market Street. The parade lasts several hours and features hundreds of contigents from different groups in the community. Contigents range from PFLAG and supportive religious groups, to leather and BDSM groups and drag queens.

Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. Light spots on the front, see pics.
