This cool vintage tee reps Wax Trax! Records, an independent music label based out of Chicago, Illinois. The label was founded by Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher, who were partners both professionally and romantically. The couple owned a record shop in Denver with the name Wax Trax, before they moved to Chicago and opened a new store with the same name. Slowly they began releasing limited edition records through the store, before growing into a full fledged label.

While Wax Trax! had a strong presence in the punk rock scene, they became best known as one of the country's preeminent labels for industrial music. This began when they released the album Cold Life by Ministry in 1981 and the Endless Riddance EP from Front 242. Over the years, the company worked with a number of other notable artists including KMFDM, Underworld, Front Line Assembly, Young Gods, VNV Nation, Meat Beat Manifesto, and the drag queen Divine.
