This wonderful sweater was made in the 1960s in the style of the Cowichan sweaters made by the Cowichan people native to British Columbia. Just like a traditional Cowichan sweater, this cardigan is made from a thick wool material ideal for cold weather, and it has a shawl style collar. Cowichans made by indigenous people often feature horizontal patterns knit using natural wool colors. This sweater features an image of a male deer or buck knitted onto the front, indicating that it may have been one of the many imitation Cowichans that became popular craft projects throughout the 50s, 60s, and 70s. This sweater also has a metal talon zipper and two front pockets.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium
