This unique double-sided ringer tee is a rare and interesting find, and its exact origins are unknown. The shirt features a sweet space themed graphic on the front, of what appears to be a horse on the moon. The back meanwhile reads, "Tranquility Base Construction".

The best known example of a site called Tranquility Base, is the spot where humans executed the first ever moonwalk back in 1969. On July 20th of that year, NASA astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin touched down to the moon's surface with their Apollo Lunar Module Eagle. They spent around two and half hours examining the area which they dubbed Tranquility Base.

This shirt could be referencing this famous celestial site, but that doesn't explain the presence of the horse on the front. A possible explanation could be another famous location dubbed Tranquility Base, which was the 125 acre farm that belonged to Styx guitarist, Tommy Shaw. The musician lived on the farm with his horse trainer girlfriend, Betsy Waltman during the early 80s. Although it's likely the farm predates the relationship, as there's a reference to Tranquility Base in the 1979 Styx song, "Boat on the River". There's no way to confirm, but this shirt could have been created during the construction of Shaw's beloved horse farm, which was likely named after the lunar landing site.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is some discoloration, see pics.
