This awesome rayon blended ringer was made for the legendary York Barbell Club, a fitness equipment manufacturer that has a celebrated history in the weightlifting community. The company was started by Bob Hoffman in the 30s. Nicknamed the "Father of World Weightlifting", Hoffman was integral to the development of the sport and an avid proponent for the benefits of exercise and nutrition.

For many decades, Hoffman used the company to help promote weightlifting and York sponsored numerous national championship and Olympic gold medal-winning lifters. Some of the first employees for the company even included historic athletes like John Terpak and Tony Terlazzo, the first American weightlifter to ever win a gold medal for the sport.
