This sweet vintage jersey was made back in the 80s by the popular athletic apparel brand Adidas. The shirt is made from a sleek cotton nylon blend and it features the famous Adidas trefoil logo faintly on the chest. The jersey also includes Adidas' famous three stripe design going down both the sleeves. The three stripes, which appear on the company's shoes and apparel, are a part of a branding package that Adidas bought in 1952 from a Finnish sports company called Karhu Sports.

Adidas became particularly trendy in the 1980s, partially thanks to Golden era hip hop artists like Run-D.M.C., who sported the brand and even wrote a song titled "My Adidas". Adidas actually struck an endorsement deal with the group, which was the first ever instance of an athletic brand partnering with a musical act. The Adidas style became so popular, that other companies would try to capitalize off of it by replicating their signature striped sleeves. These imitations actually led to Adidas taking several retailers to court to protect their brand.
