This awesome shirt pays tribute to the wildly talented blues rock musician Joe Satriani and it is a part of the Rock Express Guitar Greats collection, which was a line of shirts that paid homage to some of the most iconic guitarists in the history of rock and roll. Other shirts in the line highlighted guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Paul Stanley from KISS.

Satriani was actually inspired as a young teenager to learn the guitar after he heard about the tragic passing of Jimi Hendrix. He spent the 70s honing his skills and sharing them with others. Satriani was the guitar teacher for a number of future successful musicians including Kevin Cadogan of Third Eye Blind, Kirk Hammett of Metallica, and David Bryson from Counting Crows.

In the 80s, he was recruited by Mick Jagger to play on the Rolling Stones singer's first solo tour, and after that Satriani toured briefly with Deep Purple after the departure of Ritchie Blackmore. He released his first album in 1986 titled Not of This Earth, and he has continued to record and release his music over the years. Satriani is a 15-time Grammy Award nominee, and he is the best selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time.
