This sweet shirt is from the Liberty Weekend celebration that took place in 1986 in honor of the centennial of the Statue of Liberty. A four day celebration was held in New York City in honor of the monument and its 1984 restoration. The opening ceremonies began on July 3rd and there were appearances by both the French President Francois Mitterrand and the US President Ronald Reagan. There were a number of other guests including celebrities like Gregory Peck, Elizabeth Taylor, and Frank Sinatra.
