This classic tour tee is an original keepsake from Pink Floyd's 1987 Tour. It's held up beautifully over the years, perfectly capturing that old school rock vibe. Features the iconic raglan quarter-sleeves, soft poly cotton, and double sided print. The imagery, much like much of the band's work, has an essence of mystery, depth, and surrealism as it spotlights a satellite, bicycle, giant finger, and red airplane.
The '87 tour was probably to promote Pink Floyd's thirteenth studio album A Momentary Lapse of Reason. Memorable tracks from this release include "One Slip", "On the Turning Away", and "Learning to Fly". The album also coincided with a messy legal battle with former founding member Roger Waters over the rights to the band name. With Waters' departure, former member Richard Wright rejoined the band. He had resigned in 1979 because of Waters.
The cover art for A Momentary Lapse of Reason was a huge undertaking and remarkable feat. Many will recognize the image of beds completely filling up a sandy beach and one single man sitting amongst it all. This was before the time of CGI and photoshop so the group had to acquire 700 beds, place them all on the beach, and endure the rain to get the iconic photograph.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. Double sided print. Raglan quarter sleeves.
