This shirt represents an event back by popular demand, the Grand Prix de Las Vegas. The Grand Prix was a car race held between 1981 and 1984. The race circuit was in the parking lot of the legendary Caesars Palace of Las Vegas.
These races were unique because Formula 1 racing had not been done in the United States before, and after the 4 years that this competition took place in the 80s, it would be 40 more years before we would see F1 in the states again. This shirt is for the third year of the Grand Prix, the first two years the competition was Formula 1 cars, however the third year was unique because they raced Indy Cars made in America.
Though the turn out wasn't what organizers hoped for, the legendary Mario Andretti took the win. After the fact Formula 1 racing gained more and more popularity in the states. People are really stocked about the return of the Grand Prix de Las Vegas 2023.
