This psychedelic tee was made in memoriam for the Grateful Dead's, Jerry Garcia. The Grateful Dead are one of the biggest exemplar of 60s hippie counter culture, and have inspired generations of "jam bands," in their wake. The Grateful Dead is also well known for their diehard fan base called "Deadheads".

Jerry Garcia was born in San Francisco and spent the majority of his life living in the Bay Area when he wasn't touring the world. Though he was too humble to admit it, he was the leader of the band and after his premature passing the band officially disbanded. After a long struggle with many health problems Garcia died in 1995 at the age of 53. The surviving members including Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, and Mickey Hart would go on to form the band the Dead.

The back of this tee has lyrics from the Grateful Dead's song "Franklin's Tower": "May the four winds blow you safely home".
