This awesome tee celebrates the German progressive rock band known as Nektar. This band was formed by Roye Albrighton, Allan "Taff" Freeman, Derek "Mo" Moore, and Ron Howden in Hamburg, in the late 60s. The band also considered their lights and special effects artists, Mick Brockett and Keith
Walters, to be key members of the group.

This tee was made around the height of the band's popularity in the mid 70s, just after they released the album A Tab in the Ocean, and its follow up Remember the Future. The latter propelled the band into a brief stint of mainstream popularity, and this success continued with their next release Down to Earth. This 1974 record featured the band's only song to reach the Billboard singles charts, "Astral Man".

This particular t-shirt design for the band, is especially notable, as it was once worn by Joy Division front man, Ian Curtis. The iconic post-punk singer was photographed wearing the tee in 1976, next to his wife Deborah Curtis.
