This sweet band shirt is for the prog rock group, Supertramp from London. This shirt was made around the time of the band's commercial breakthrough in the 70s. While the copyright says 1978, the graphic is a nod to the packaging for their 1979 album, Breakfast in America. The album's cover featured an image of actress Kate Murtagh dressed as a waitress in front of the Manhattan skyline. Designed by Mike Doud and Mick Haggerty, it won the 1980 Grammy Award for Best Record Packaging.
Breakfast in America is fondly remembered as Supertramp's best-selling album, with more than four million copies sold in the US alone. The record spent six weeks at the top of the Billboard Pop Albums Chart, and it spawned the hit singles "The Logical Song", "Goodbye Stranger", and "Take the Long Way Home". Co-frontman, Roger Hodgson spent the last two months before its release, meticulously perfecting the album. He even went so far as to stay in a camper that he parked outside of the studio.
The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small.
