This awesome shirt is a rare gem from a defunct heavy metal band called Blitzspeer. The group emerged out of the New York City scene in 1988, and they released only a single full-length studio album before disbanding. This shirt features the same sweet skull logo that was used for the cover of their debut release from Epic Records, a live album simply titled Blitzspeer Live. The album was recorded during a show at the famous Limelight nightclub in Manhattan, back when it was still considered to be more of a rock club. Although the design doesn't sport the artist's usual signature, the cover for Blitzspeer Live was drawn by the infamous Pushead, a graphic artist best known for his work with Metallica.
Despite their short tenure, Blitzspeer was still known for delivering a heavy-hitting sound. Their original lineup consisted of Curt Fleck, Louise Gasparro, Scott Lano, and Phil Caivano, most of whom continued to record with other bands after Blitzspeer went their separate ways.
