This awesome tee celebrates the twelfth studio album from the reggae legends, Bob Marley and the Wailers. Titled Uprising, this 1980 album was the last one to be released before Marley's unfortunate death the following year. Uprising is perhaps remembered as the album most steeped in Marley's Rastafarian beliefs, and the gold-selling record peaked just short of the top 40 of Billboard Black Albums chart. Uprising featured the memorable tracks, "Forever Loving Jah", "Redemption Song", and "Could You Be Loved".
Bob Marley ranks among the best-selling musicians of all time, and he's remembered as a celebrated pioneer of the reggae genre. Despite being diagnosed with skin cancer in 1977, Marley continued to perform with The Wailers for as long as he could. The US promotional tour for Uprising became Marley's last, and he performed his final live show at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh. This shirt commemorates one of the last pieces of art produced by this legendary star.
