This awesome tee was made for John Cougar Mellencamp's Lonesome Jubilee Tour, which ran from 1987 into 1988. The tour promoted his ninth studio album of the same name, and this shirt features the photograph used for the album's cover, of Mellencamp seated next to a blue-collar worker named Woodrow Baker. The Lonesome Jubilee was a commercial success that included the singles "Paper in Fire", "Cherry Bomb", "Check It Out", and "Rooty Toot Toot".
Throughout the tour, Mellencamp performed a cover of Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" as his big closing song. Concert attendees in Irving, California were treated to a surprise duet of the song, when Mellancamp was joined on stage by another heartland rock icon, Bruce Springsteen.
