This awesome raglan shirt is a souvenir from a 1985-1986 World Tour from the heavy metal band Motley Crue. This tour was launched to help promote the group's third studio album, Theatre of Pain, which was the beginning of the group's transition away from traditional metal and towards a more glam metal sound.
Motley Crue was one of several heavy metal bands to emerge out of California in the 80s. They became mainstream stars with the release of their second album Shout at the Devil, but with that success came a reputation for trouble. Around the time that Theatre of Pain was released, bassist Nikki Sixx had developed a serious heroin addiction, while vocalist Vince Neil was facing possible jail time for vehicular manslaughter.
Regardless of the personal troubles of the band, Theatre of Pain was another commercial success that produced two hit singles- "Smokin' in the Boys Room" and "Home Sweet Home". The music video for "Smokin' in the Boys Room" was a smash hit on MTV during the mid 80s, and fans will remember the way it featured iconic horror actor Michael Berryman, who is best known for his role in The Hills Have Eyes.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. The sleeves on this shirt have been cut and there are repairs in both underarms. There are also small holes on the left sleeve while wearing, see pics.
