This awesome muscle tee is for Prince & the Revolution, and the shirt celebrates the Prince of Pop's 1985 World Tour, which helped promote his wildly successful album Purple Rain and the accompanying film of the same name. The concert tour was estimated to have sold more than 1.7 million tickets, and Apollonia 6 and Shelia E. served as opening acts. A recording of the show at the Carrier Dome in New York was later released on VHS and also broadcast live throughout Europe.

Purple Rain was Prince's sixth studio album, but it was the first one to ever reach the top of the Billboard 200, and it remained at the top spot for 24 consecutive weeks. The album featured some of the artist's most beloved hits, which included "Let's Go Crazy", "When Doves Cry", and "I Would Die 4 U".

Meanwhile the film Purple Rain, which the album served as the soundtrack to, was also highly successful, with some critics lauding it as one of the greatest musical films ever made. The movie's cast featured members from both the Revolution, like Dez Dickerson, as well Prince's old band, the Time, such as Morris Day.
