This sweet double sided shirt pays tribute to 25 years of the Who's iconic rock opera, Tommy. Released in 1969, Tommy served as the band's fourth studio album, and it told a fantastical story about a traumatized boy, who becomes deaf, dumb, and blind, after witnessing the murder of his mother's lover. For several years, Pete Townshend had been looking for an opportunity to experiment outside of the standard pop single format. Townsend and the rest of the band also became excited over the idea of creating music designed specifically with live performance in mind, as they felt this would give them the edge they needed against other bands like the Beatles and the Beach Boys.

Selections from Tommy remained a beloved staple of the Who's live set throughout the 70s. The story was also adapted into various other media, including a Broadway musical and an award-winning film. To celebrate the album's anniversary, the band revived Tommy in its entirety for their 1989 reunion tour. Special guests were also invited to perform various roles, and the show at Universal Amphitheatre notably featured Steve Winwood as the Hawker, Billy Idol as Cousin Kevin, Phil Collins as Uncle Ernie, Patti LaBelle as the Acid Queen, and Elton John as the Pinball Wizard.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is a small hole on the front and some light spots throughout, see pics.
