This classic band tee pays tribute to the Jimi Hendrix Experience and their final studio album Electric Ladyland, released in 1968. It's aged incredibly well and truly captures that old school magic with big vibrant graphics, double sided print, and a roomy oversized fit.
Electric Ladyland is the last record released before Jimi Hendrix passed in 1970. It features the works of him and his talented band mates Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell. Together, they enjoyed the most commercial success with this album, charting #1 for two weeks in the USA and 12 weeks on UK charts. Electric Ladyland would go on to be considered one of the best albums of all time by the likes of Rolling Stone and Q magazine.
Although the band was only active for three years (1966-1969), they made a very strong mark in the world of rock and roll and the counterculture movement of the 60s. Their psychedelic rock melodies are often the soundtrack to peoples memories of this era. In three years, the band released three studio albums, all of which were featured on the Rolling Stones' "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". In 1992, the Jimi Hendrix Experience was inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
