This amazing vintage shirt is for the pioneering English music collective, Massive Attack. This shirt was made in the 90s, and it sports double sided graphics that show off the group's notable iconography, much of which was created by member and co-founder Robert Del Naja, also known as 3D. Massive Attack's history can be traced back to the early 80s, when future members Daddy G, Mushroom, Tricky, and 3D met through the sound system the Wild Bunch. After dominating the Bristol club scene with the Wild Bunch, the four decided to create their own spin-off quartet, and they released their debut album, Blue Lines in 1991.
Blue Lines was an influential record that is often considered to be the first trip hop album ever conceived. With singles like "Daydreaming", "Unfinished Sympathy", and "Safe from Harm", Massive Attack combined hip hop fundamentals with elements of dub, electronic, and soul. The release became popular within the club scene and on college radio, and it introduced Massive Attack as pioneers of the trip hop genre.
The group released two more albums in the 90s, Protection and Mezzanine, the latter of which topped the charts in several countries and was certified double platinum in the UK. Mezzanine featured the singles "Angel", Inertia" and their highest charting hit, "Teardrop". The song features vocals from former Cocteau Twins vocalist, Elizabeth Fraser, and it's often remembered for being used as the opening theme for the television drama, House.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a small hole on the front of the collar, see pics.
