This sweet shirt is for the Chicago area punk band Screeching Weasel, who emerged on the scene in the late 80s. The group was formed in the suburb of Prospect Heights, Illinois and over the years their lineup has changed numerous times, with vocalist Ben Weasel and guitarist Jughead remaining the band's most consistent members. While Screeching Weasel never gained much mainstream success, they're fondly remembered as influential members of the skate punk and pop punk genres.
This shirt was made in the 90s, when some of the band's studio releases included albums like Anthem for a New Tomorrow, How to Make Enemies and Irritate People, and Bark Like a Dog. Throughout the 90s, the band worked with the independent record labels Lookout! Records and Fat Wreck Chords, the latter of which was founded by fellow skate punk musician, Fat Mike of NOFX.
