This awesome double sided concert tee is for the popular alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins, and it was made in 1994, after the group released their platinum-selling second album, Siamese Dream. In 1991, the band had released their debut album titled Gish, and while it only had moderate commercial success, the album was pretty much universally lauded by critics. Amidst the rise of alternative rock and bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins were poised to become the next big thing, and they essentially did just that.
Siamese Dream kickstarted the band's mainstream success and it featured the celebrated singles "Cherub Rock", "Today", "Disarm", and "Rocket". The record is often cited as one of the greatest albums of the 1990s, and thanks to its success, the band spent the latter half of 1994 touring as the headliner of that year's Lollapalooza festival. They got to play alongside bands like Beastie Boys, The Breeders, A Tribe Called Quest, and L7, before returning to the studio the following year. In 1995, The Smashing Pumpkins released Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, the follow up to Siamese Dream, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. The album earned the band seven Grammy nominations, and featured the hit singles "Bullet with Butterfly Wings", "Tonight, Tonight", "1979", and "Thirty-Three".
