This sweet vintage shirt features the California Raisins, a fictional musical group consisting of anthropomorphized raisins. This claymation-animated band was created by the California Raisin Advisory Board to sell Sun-Maid raisins in the 80s. The original commercial featured the Raisins singing a cover of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine", and the ad was a surprise hit. This led to the Raisins releasing several studio albums, and they were also given their own primetime television special titled, Meet the Raisins!
