This sweet pocket tee promotes the famous M. Matsumoto Grocery Store located on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Established in the 1950s, Matsumoto's was a small family-owned shop that grew into a beloved local icon. The magic began when owners Mamoru and Helen Matsumoto began offering the Japanese treat of shave ice, and over time people began lining up down the block just to purchase the frozen delicacy. The back of this tee features a graphic drawn by another Oahu local, Paul Gemeno and it refers to another popular Hawaiian dish, pupu and beer.
