This sweet vintage sweatshirt proudly says "Keeping the dream alive on I-275". This shirt supports the SCLC, or Southern Christian Leadership Conference, a civil rights organization that's often associated with its original president, the celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This sweatshirt also looks to be from around the late 80s and early 90s, and it was likely made to celebrate Ninth Street in St. Petersburg, Florida gaining the additional name of M.L. King Jr. Street. This decision was made in 1987 by the St. Petersburg City Council, and this sweatshirt mentions how the street is accessible via Interstate 275.
