This shirt was made in celebration of the 1986 Long Beach State women's basketball team. This shirt highlights the team being named the Pacific Coast Athletic Association champions of that season. The PCAA evolved into the Big West Conference only two years after this victory. During this period of time, the women's team was coached by Joan Bonvicini, and they were consistently ranked at the top of their conference. In fact, during the 1985-1986 season, the team had an undefeated conference record, a feat which they achieved again in 1988 and 1989.
