This great 80s tee was made to celebrate the handball competitions at the Los Angeles Olympics of 1984. LA84 is fondly remembered as the most financially successful event of the modern Olympics, however participation was affected by a boycott, that was staged in response to the United States' boycott of the 1980 games. 

The handball competition was noticeably impacted by the USSR-led boycott, as several Eastern Bloc countries had been favorites to win. However, the absence of  East Germany, the Soviet Union and Hungary gave Yugoslavia, West Germany and South Korea the opportunity to excel.
