This incredible concert tee is a souvenir from the 1984 tour for Prince and the Revolution. This concert tour was to help promote Prince's iconic sixth studio album Purple Rain and his theatrical film of the same name. The tour marked the live debut of Prince's new backing band, dubbed the Revolution, and it was estimated to have sold over 1.7 million tickets. Opening acts on the tour included Apollonia 6 and Shelia E., meanwhile the lineup for the Revolution consisted of Wendy Melvoin, Brown Mark, Lisa Coleman, Matt "Doctor" Fink, and Bobby Z. The band was featured in the film Purple Rain, as was Prince's old backing group, the Time with Morris Day.

Purple Rain was the first of Prince's albums to ever reach the top of the Billboard 200, and it was much more musically complex than his previous releases. The album featured multiple layers of guitars, keyboards, synthesizers, and drum machines, and produced several hits including "I Would Dies 4 U", "Let's Go Crazy", "When Doves Cry", and the title track. Although it was the album's lead single, the music video for "When Doves Cry" sparked some controversy among network executives that feared the video's sexual imagery was too explicit for TV. Still, Purple Rain marked Prince's commercial peak and it won multiple Grammy Awards, while the film received the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score. Purple Rain would also later be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and added to the National Recording Registry for its cultural significance.

The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small. This shirt comes with an original ticket stub from the tour, see pics.
