This sweet vintage t-shirt was made in honor of the United States Bicentennial, a momentous event that sparked a series of celebrations across America. This particular tee mentions Stuyvesant, which is the name of both a town in Northwest New York, and a residential development on the east side of Manhattan. However, a good number of individuals recognize the name from the prestigious college preparatory school, Stuyvesant High School, located in Manhattan's East Village.
Stuyvesant High School has been regarded as one of the best high schools in the country, and they've produced a number of notable alumni including Nobel laureates like Joshua Lederberg, and Roald Hoffman. In 1976, the school also had its own Bicentennial Club to honor the 200th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is short, please double check measurements. There are some small holes, see pics.
