This great tee was made to commemorate the Norfolk & Western 611 engine's run up the Saluda Grade. The No. 611 locomotive began its life in the 40s, as a passenger line in the Blue Ridge Mountains. By the 90s, the streamliner was used for excursion runs, like the event this tee is from. This shirt was from when the No.611 made its way over the Saluda Grade, the steepest main line railway grade in the United States.
