This awesome ringer t-shirt is for the legendary guitarist Eric Clapton. The shirt was made in 1975, the year that Clapton released his third studio album There's One in Every Crowd. The year before Clapton had made his return to recording after overcoming a three-year addiction to heroin. The resulting album, 461 Ocean Boulevard was a commercial success that included one of Clapton's most popular hit singles, "I Shot the Sheriff". There's One in Every Crowd, didn't have the same success as its predecessor.
The album peaked at number 21 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 15 on the UK charts. It was recorded in Jamaica and three of the songs "Swing Low Sweet Chariot", "Little Rachel", and "Don't Blame Me" were recorded in a reggae style while the rest of the album was considered more blues and rock. Clapton originally wanted the title of the album to be "World's Greatest Guitar Player (There's One in Every Crowd" but the RSO record label didn't like the first part so they shortened it.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. This shirt is faded with small spots and holes, see pics.
