This sweet double-sided tee celebrates the American funk band Cameo, and it promotes the group's best known album, Word Up! Often remembered for the title track, this 1986 release also included two more of their biggest hit singles, "Candy" and "Back and Forth". It reached number one on the US Top R&B charts, and also breached the top ten in the UK.

Cameo was first formed in 1974, and they originated as a 14-member ensemble called the New York City Players. They released their first album, Cardiac Arrest in 1977, but their commercial breakthrough came two years later with the single "I Just Want to Be". Throughout the 80s they released several gold albums that included Cameosis, Knights of the Sound Table, and Alligator Woman.
