This awesome tee commemorates the 12th annual Santa Monica Marathon in 1984. It was held at the end of August just a few weeks after nearby Los Angeles hosted the Olympics. The race had a smaller turn out than usual, most likely due to the games in LA, and a little over 200 runners participated. The fastest finishing time recorded belonged to an American runner named Carlos Navarro who completed the marathon in 2 hours and 35 minutes.
