This humorous shirt pays tribute to Reid Fleming, World's Toughest Milkman. Reid was the title character of a satirical comic conceived by David Boswell, which was first published in the Georgia Straight newspaper in the late 70s. Boswell's childhood bully served as both the inspiration and the namesake behind the eccentric character, and Boswell self-published his own Reid Fleming comic book in 1980.

This shirt is copyright 1986, the year in which Eclipse Comics republished that initial comic book before they began producing a regular series starring Reid. Supposedly the 1980s also saw Hollywood buy the rights to a Reid Fleming screenplay which was also written by Boswell. However, as of 2023 a film has yet to be produced.
