This awesome tee celebrates one of the coolest characters to ever grace American televisions, Arthur Fonzarelli, better known as "The Fonz". The shirt features a thumbs up graphic and the quote, "I'm the Fonz". Fonzie was initially a secondary character on the ABC sitcom, Happy Days, but he quickly became central to the series as his popularity with audiences surpassed the rest of the cast. Although Micky Dolenz of The Monkees was considered for the role of the Fonz, the part wound up going to Henry Winkler, an unknown at the time, who auditioned only two weeks after moving to Los Angeles.

Although Fonzie was intended to be a stereotypical 1950s era greaser, Winkler was determined not to play into the stereotypes of greaser characters. He made a deal with himself that he would never portray the Fonz combing his hair, chewing gum, or carrying cigarettes in his sleeve. During the first episode, the script called for him to comb his hair, and production insisted Winkler follow the script. Instead he managed to create a defining moment for the character, in which he goes to fix his hair and then stops as he realizes it's already perfect. This single gesture wound up setting the tone of the character for the rest of the series.
