This sweet vintage tee is for the beloved space opera Babylon 5, which began airing on the Prime Time Entertainment Network in 1993. The show was written and produced by J. Michael Straczynski, who would later go on to make several other notable science fiction television series such as Jeremiah and Sense8. Straczynski was also a writer for several Marvel comic series, including The Amazing Spider-Man and Thor.

Babylon 5 kicked off with a successful airing of a test pilot movie called Babylon 5: The Gathering. From there the show ran for five seasons, and it set itself apart thanks to its large overarching plot lines that spanned multiple episodes. This was unique at the time, as most shows' conflicts were confined to a single episode. The plots of Babylon 5 would even sometimes result in lasting changes to the canon of the series.

This shirt features portraits of several characters from the series, which was set on a space station called Babylon 5, that was occupied by alien diplomats and a human military staff. Some of the characters pictured include Londo Mollari played by Peter Jurasik, Alfred Bester played by Walter Koenig, Michael Garibaldi portrayed by Jerry Doyle, and Zack Allan played by Jeff Conaway.
