This awesome vintage jersey dates back to the 1950s, and it's held up beautifully for more than half a century. This rayon jersey features stripes around the sleeves and an embroidered patch of the former logo for the General Telephone System. During the days of the Bell System, General Telephone managed to stand out as the largest independent telephone company in the US. The company did eventually merge with Bell Atlantic in 2000, and together they formed Verizon.

This jersey may have been made for a local sports team that was sponsored by General Telephone, and the logo pictured on the front was used from the mid 50s until 1959. After that, the company was renamed the General Telephone & Electronics Corporation or GT&E for short.
