This awesome three-quarter sleeve tee proudly declares that, "Cleveland Rocks" and it features a graphic of the city's Terminal Tower rocking out on the guitar. This tee was made for the rock radio station WMMS 101 FM, aka "The Buzzard". Often considered one of the country's most influential rock stations, WMMS began breaking Cleveland's ratings records in the early 70s. It was also during that decade that the station first introduced their buzzard mascot, which was drawn by David Helton. Helton was actually a local listener who decided to use his artistic skills to submit a complaint regarding the station's programming. The cartoon complaint caught the attention of program director John Gorman, who hired Helton to draw the mascot.
