This super soft vintage tee is a classic surf shirt from the brand Hang Ten. This shirt was made in the 70s, and it has Hang Ten's iconic bare feet logo embroidered onto the chest. The Hang Ten brand was founded in Seal Beach, California by Duke Boyd, a local surfer who wanted to create apparel that addressed the unique needs of surfers. He partnered with the seamstress Doris Moore, and together the two created the company's flagship product, the Hang Ten boardshorts. That was back in 1960, and since then Hang Ten has remained one of the most legendary names in the surf apparel industry.

The name is actually inspired by the surf trick hanging ten, which requires a surfer to carefully balance all ten of their toes over the edge of their board. This is also what inspired the famous bare feet logo.
