This sweet shirt combines two very different pieces of pop culture, and mixes them to create a hilariously unique mashup. This shirt reimagines the classic 80s crime drama Miami Vice, and asks what if the role of Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs was instead portrayed by Buckwheat of The Little Rascals. For years, graphic artists have been coming up with quirky mashups for t-shirt designs, but this one is uniquely 80s.

Often regarded as a paragon of 80s pop culture, Miami Vice set itself apart from the average police drama by appealing to the new wave fashions and music of the time period. The series set off a new menswear trend of tees under sport coats, and the show became famous for utilizing the popular music of the decade, rather than a generic made-for-TV soundtrack. The show's cultural influence was so powerful that musical artists were even able to boost their record sales just by having one of their songs featured.

Meanwhile, Buckwheat was given new life in the 80s thanks to Eddie Murphy and Saturday Night Live. In the early 80s, the comedian debuted an impression of the old Our Gang character, that was originated by Billie Thomas. Murphy's version of Buckwheat became a beloved running gag, and the impression actually became so overwhelmingly popular that Murphy eventually decided the only way to get rid of the bit was to kill off the character.

The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small.
