This super soft tee was made for the 1984 Statesman Capitol 10,000 race. The Statesman Capitol run is the largest 10K in Texas, and  in 1984, the Cap 10 was also the second largest 10k in the nation. The title sponsor of the race was the Austin American-Statesman, a major daily newspaper from the area. One thing that made the 1984 run particularly unique, was a couple that was married on the starting line, who then ran the race in full wedding attire.
