This awesome vintage ringer celebrates the beloved pro wrestler, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, also known as Hot Rod. Despite hailing from Saskatchewan, Canada, Piper's wrestling persona was billed as a hot-tempered Scotsman from Glasgow, and he was known for his signature kilt and bagpipe entrance. Piper officially joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1984, and thanks to his skills on the mic he was granted his own interview segment titled Piper's Pit.

During the mid 80s, Piper wrestled as a heel character and was given a major storyline opposite Hulk Hogan, which eventually lead to the WWF's first ever Wrestlemania event. Piper would go on to headline several Wrestlemania events, and he grew into one of the WWF's most recognizable stars. He also launched a successful acting career, that was solidified with two notable roles in 1988. That year, Piper landed the lead in two cult classic motion pictures. He first appeared as Sam Hell in the post-apocalyptic action flick Hell Comes to Frogtown, before starring as John Nada in John Carpenter's They Live.
