This awesome tee commemorates the 1985 edition of the 500 Festival, which is presented each year in anticipation of the Indianapolis 500 race. In the days leading up to the race, the festival hosts a number of community events that include a mini marathon and the beloved 500 Festival Parade. That year, to celebrate the 69th edition of the Indy 500, the festival's theme was The Wonderful World Disney and this tee features Mickey Mouse driving an IndyCar. Mickey also got to serves as the grand marshal of the parade, and chairman of the festival was Jerry Semler, who also later became board president of the 500 Festival Associates.

Meanwhile the actual 1985 Indy 500 race is often remembered for the "Spin and Win" victory of Danny Sullivan. The young hot-shot driver not only managed to regain control after spinning out, but he also went on to defeat season racing legend, Mario Andretti.
