This phenomenal vest was hand woven by the Ortega's Weaving Shop. The Ortega's family has been weaving Chimayo fabric in New Mexico since the early 1700s, and the Chimayo style represented here was developed between the 20s and 40s. Following World War II the Southwest and the Old West became huge style icons. Many young Americans became fascinated with Native American designs. The Ortega family, along with the Trujillo family, are most well known for developing the Chimayo look. This vest was made in the 80s and it has four leather shank buttons.

Fits like a modern women's adult medium
